About the event
More to the Story invites participants to explore some of the less familiar territory in their lives and stories. Through quiet, free-flow writing, we move beyond what we usually write about and become curious about what else might be waiting to find its way onto the page.
In this workshop, participants write about delight, roads not taken, the interesting contradictions that make us who we are, things rarely said, and stories or ideas not yet explored. Writing prompts offer opportunities to explore our own lives or to write about a parent, relative, friend, or another person we want to remember more fully. The writing can be lighthearted, thoughtful, surprising, or deeply personal.
As always in Write to Grow workshops, the emphasis is not on writing perfectly but on allowing the words to emerge naturally. Each participant chooses where the writing takes them and how much they wish to share. More…
